Carter Higgins
Carter has been clogging since 2008. He is a part of the national champion Evermean Evergreen cloggers where he dances competitively and teaches. Ever since he found the love for clogging, it has been a huge part of his life. Some of his first events with clogging were bluegrass festivals and county fair shows. He has since had the opportunity to perform at several large shows for the National Cattleman’s Association, CMA Fest, the National BMW Convention, and the Tennessee State Fair.
He has also had the opportunity to teach at several clogging workshops including the CLOG National Convention, ACHF Extreme, Lake Cumberland Clogging Workshop, and the Fontana Jamboree, which he has regularly attended since 2011. Alongside this, he is a member of the ACHF 2015 Junior All American Team, the 2010-2020 Team of the Decade, and recognized as an ACHF Clogging Ambassador in 2022. He enjoys fellowship, competing, workshopping, and teaching with his clogging family. He especially enjoys teaching his teammates and adult cloggers fun dance routines from the many fun dances he has attended. He credits his success and love for clogging to his mentors/instructors Melissa and Rob Pack. One of the many skills they helped him develop is calling hoedowns, which he has been doing since the age of 10. He currently does HVAC and Refrigeration for commercial restaurants in the South Eastern US.
