Andrew Perry

Andrew has been clogging since 2006 and has been teaching since 2007.  He grew up in the Adirondack region of upstate New York only 20 minutes from the Canadian border.  Andrew earned his CCI in 2009 after testing out of the program at Smoky Mountain Encore in Gatlinburg, Tn.  His clogging group, the Drew Crew Cloggers, is comprised of more than 35 people of all ages.  He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in educational psychology at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Oh.

Andrew has taught at several workshops in Canada and the United States, including C.L.O.G National convention.  The Canadian National Clogging Convention in Waterloo, Ontario; the CLAM Clogitoba workshop in Winnipeg, Manitoba; the Cornwall City Cloggers' annual clogging workshop in Cornwall, Ontario; the Akwesasne Cloggers' bi-annual clogging workshop, the Lehigh Valley Cloggers' annual Harvest Stomp in Washington, New Jersey; Smoky Mountain Encore in Gatlinburg, TN; the Northeast Clogging Convention; the Texas Clogging Council's annual clogging rally in Waco, Texas; Clogging Craziness in Lebanon, OH; Cabin Fever in Mansfield, OH; and the Wisconsin State Clogging Jamboree.  In the fall of 2019, Australian National Clogging Convention in Queensland, Australia, which was a highlight of his clogging workshop career.

Andrew is a proud board member of the Western New York Cloggers Association (WNYCA), which is responsible for organizing the Nickel City Clogging Festival in Buffalo, NY, the WYNCA Fiddlefest in Springville, NY, and the Salt City Clogging Workshop and Competition in Syracuse, NY.  Andrew has been proud to have been an instructor for Nickel City for the last eleven years and at Salt City since its inception.  For Salt City, Andrew was the workshop coordinator and emcee for the competition.  

Andrew is also a proud member of the certified clogging instructor (CCI) steering committee and is currently a mentor to four CCI candidates as they make their way through the certification program.  This is Andrew's eighth time being on staff at the CLOG National Clogging Convention.  The convention is always a wonderful experience each and every year.
